The importance of early detection of melanoma in children

Increasingly important is the control of nevi in children, the incidence of melanoma in children is  on the rise; the causes are debated, it seems that the exposure of children to sunlight during the middle of the day can play an important role. Those with fair skin, blonde or red hair, freckles, the inability to tan, and/or a family history of melanoma are at greater risk. So don’t ignore changing moles, even in children, because melanoma can occur in kids. Choosing a sunscreen that blocks both ultraviolet A and ultraviolet B rays and reapplying it frequently is important,  clothing can also help protect children.
